Sue Gray is a South African-born, Singapore-based artist whose distinctive still life paintings explore the beauty of everyday objects. Self-taught, Sue works in a hyperrealistic style, bringing familiar forms to life through an extraordinary level of detail and precision.

After graduating in Textile Design, Sue began her career as a decor stylist for magazines, developing an appreciation for considered objects, composition and design. This experience became the starting point for her journey into still life painting, where her fascination with beautifully designed everyday items found a new expression.

Her work has since attracted significant recognition, with several sold-out solo exhibitions in Singapore and selection for the New/Now Emerging Artist showcase at ART SG in 2023. Her paintings are represented in galleries in South Africa and held in private collections in Singapore, South Africa and internationally.

Through her work, Sue invites us to look again at the familiar, finding beauty and meaning in objects we might otherwise overlook.
